But as for your other question...what did you create the
talairach image from? Depending on your answer, I
suspect that 3dcopy of your initial dataset (non-talairached)
might be what you need, since it's obviously not an AFNI
dataset.

As far as your other question, I think the answer will also be determined
by your answer to my question above.
