I don't see a problem with your command. Maybe one of your
partX files does not have any 1's in it?

Try breaking it into 4 commands (and then 3dTcat the results
together). That way you can see where the problem is coming
from.

You can also just echo the awk commands to the screen, and
see what it is reporting in each case. For instance:

echo `awk '/1/ {printf "%d,", NR-1}' 1stimFor-2dur4_part1.1D`

I suspect one of your 1D files does not have a 1 in it.
