AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Thank you! I was not able to create a .afnirc file because the computer said a file could not have a name that begins with a dot. If you have the patience to tell a person who is still in the babbling stage of unix where I am going wrong there, that would be great because I would like to change the environment in other ways. BUT, I was able to fix the path with a command I found in the readme files and AFNI seems happier.

Another question - if I do not want a overlay to display at all, can that be done? (I am working with structurals only).

Thank you for your advice and patience.
