AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Is there a way to get to3d to use the analyze header's orient field?

I understand this may not be reliable (SPM ignores it also), but
couldn't you use it as a default orientation instead of assuming LPI?

It would be nice if a general user could go from DICOM to Analyze
to BRIK without having to know anything about orientation notation
(either for the command line or for AFNI_ANALYZE_ORIENT).

There are some good DICOM to Analyze converters (ours is based
on xmedcon) which do set this orient field correctly. It would really
help our users if we could get to3d to recognize it.
