AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

It sounds like you don't have the Apple C development package installed. You have to install 'Xcode', I think, to get the C compiler working. This is free, but optional, for 10.4.

Also, the 'Can't resolve dependency "x11"' message should be solvable if you install the fink package 'system-xfree86'. Of course, to run AFNI, you also have to install Apple's X11 system itself before anything. In fact, as I recall, if you install that first, then install fink, then fink should auto-install the 'system-xfree86' package.

We are working on getting AFNI included with fink, but there are some hangups that are slow to resolve.

I will try to compile AFNI with Motif statically linked for 10.4, and if that works, will make the binaries available later today for your attempted use.
