AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi all,

I am trying to convert a file from niftii to AFNI, the current way I am doing it is the following:

I first use avwchfiletype to change it from Nifti to Analyze and then I use 3dcopy to change it from Analyze to Afni.

I even tried using 3dcalc to change right from nifti to Afni but I am still stuck with the same problem which is that the dataset now has floats. When you do 3dinfo the values go from -32 to 6455 say instead of it reading 0 to 5677 for example.

Any suggestions to how I can change this dataset from having floats to actually holding shorts or how I can prevent this thing from happening in the first place.

Thanks!
