Hi Gang,
Your response wasn't intuitive to me, so I tried running AlphaSim using two masks having the same shape and volume (1433200 mm3) but with different-sized voxels. One had 1mm X 1mm X 1mm voxels, the other had 3.75mm X 3.75mm X 5mm voxels.
The same parameters were used for both masks:
Gaussian filter widths:
sigmax = 2.25 FWHMx = 5.30
sigmay = 2.25 FWHMy = 5.30
sigmaz = 2.25 FWHMz = 5.30

Cluster connection radius: rmm = 7.30
Threshold probability: pthr = 1.000000e-03

Results:
large voxel mask: Alpha=.031 cluster volume threshold=281 mm3
small voxel mask: Alpha=.031 cluster volume threshold=233 mm3

large voxel mask: Alpha=.00433 cluster volume threshold=352 mm3
small voxel mask: Alpha=.00433 cluster volume threshold=291 mm3

What am I missing?
