AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi,

I'm trying to align two large 3d+time datasets recorded on different days, and as one step I thought I needed to upsample them so make the addition smoother. But 3dresample refuses work with the message

r frdg: alloc failure: 21073920 bytes!
failure to resample dataset, exiting...

Is that a limitation of 3dresample, a problem on my system or am I doing something wrong?

The command line I used is

3dresample -dxyz 1 1 1 -prefix f1-5.fine -infile f1-5+orig

Incidentally, is this the right/best way to go about combining two different scan sessions:

- aligning anatomicals of E2 to anatomicals of E1 using 3dvolreg
- upsampling E1 functionals using 3dresample
- aligning expt 2 functionals to expt 1 functionals using 3drotate with usampled E1 functionals as gridparent and E2aligned as rotparent
- concatenating the sets

Thanks for any insight,
Kai
