AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi all,

I have a somewhat random 3dDeconvolve question. I tried to run an analysis using a stim file with 8 columns (8 conditions coded) and then I used the same stim file, however only with the first column. This way I ran 3dDeconvolve only with that stimulus coded, and the other ones not used.

This gave me very different results for that specific IRF (1 column vs. 8 columns).

I am curious why this would be the case? I was under the impression that the IRFs for specific conditions are computed independently of each other?

I apologize if this is a silly question, and I would really appreciate if someone can clarify this for me.

Thanks in advance...

Alan
