Hello All,
We have created some ROIs using the AFNI GUI which we are trying to interpolate to the surface (SUMA) using 3dVol2Surf. We ran 3dVol2Surf with various parameter combinations (mapping functions, sample by nodes or voxels etc), and examined which output was most accurate with respect to region that was drawn on the volume domain. It was our impression that none of the results were as accurate as the surface representation that is obtained when volume data are interpolated "on-the-fly" between AFNI and SUMA via the NIML communication option (pressing "t" in SUMA). In the latter case, the ROI is accurately represented, and there is almost no "bleeding" to surrounding structures.
Does anyone (Ziad?) know what parameters need to be used in 3dVol2Surf to replicate the output that we see when AFNI and SUMA communicate via the GUI?
Thanks,
Oori
