AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi,
I am a newbie at Linux and I am having trouble running afni in Fedora Core 5. Everytime I try to run afni it gives me the following error

./afni: error while loading shared libraries: libXm.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I looked on the internet for help and I was told to install openmotif but it was already installed on the computer. I also saw something about linking the libXm files but it didnot help either. I am not sure if I did the linking properly.
Here are the results of the "locate libXm"

/usr/X11R6/lib/libXm.a
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXm.so
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXm.so.4
/usr/X11R6/lib/libXm.so.4.0.0
/usr/lib/libXmu.so
/usr/lib/libXmu.so.6
/usr/lib/libXmu.so.6.2.0
/usr/lib/libXmuu.so
/usr/lib/libXmuu.so.1
/usr/lib/libXmuu.so.1.0.0

Could you please tell me how to properly link the libXm files and if there is any other way to fix the problem?

Thanks in advance
