AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello,

There are 2 things I find odd about what you say. Are you
sure that you are running Fedora Core 5? Please check the
output of the command "cat /etc/redhat-release" to be sure.

1. Assuming so, openmotif should _not_ be installed under
/usr/X11R6/lib, it should be under /usr/lib. That and the
fact that you would even mention "link" suggests that maybe
someone installed an inappropriate library.

If you are using FC5, then you should install openmotif
via the command (as root):

yum install openmotif

That's it. I suggest you remove those /usr/X11R6/lib/libXm.*
files, or properly delete that package via rpm or yum.

2. Since 'afni' is requiring libXm at all, you are probably
not using a current release. Download the xorg7 package and
try it out.

wget [afni.nimh.nih.gov]

Try to use these binaries.

For other help, such as setting up your path (so that you don't
need to type './afni', but just 'afni'), consider checking out
HowTo #0, the basic setup for linux, under:
