AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

The new version (Apr 2008) of 3dDWItoDT is very very slow compared to the old version (Aug 2007). I used the same command such as:

3dDWItoDT -prefix DTI -reweight -eigs -sep_dsets -max_iter 10 -max_iter_rw 10 gradient12.1D DTI_cmb+orig

I guess the default optimization method of the current version is slow. May I ask what is the default optimization method of the old version? Considering both accuracy and time-efficiency, which optimization method I should choose for 3dDWItoDT? What's the pros and cons for each optimization method?

Thank you very much!
