AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Thank you very much! I used gradient descent and it's much faster.

However, I have a problem that: when I used the linear fitting method, the resulted FA looks okay, but when I used the non-linear method (no matter Powell, hybrid, or gradient descent), the resulted FA looks very weird. Please see the two attached images. The very bright one is by nonlinear method. They are both scaled between [0 1]. Actually when I used the 3dDWItoDT old version of Aug 2007, the FA map fitted by default nonlinear method and linear method both look fine and similar, but I could not find the older version any more.

Thank you!
