AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello all,

After a period of time working with SPM, I'm hoping to return our lab to my AFNI roots. We have a system we are attempting to configure for Linux versions of AFNI, Freesurfer, and FSL, but I'm a bit uncertain which Linux package would be best (meaning less hassle). We do not have access to Redhat 9, but could purchase the more recent Enterprise 5 version (if necessary). I see that CentOS is essentially a non-commerical verson of some of the Linux iterations, but which would work best with all three software imaging packages? The system is 32-bit, if that helps.

Any guidance in this Linux selection would be most appreciated, in addition to any tips/tricks you might be able to provide as I steer the lab back from the "dark side." :)

Regards,
Jeff Browndyke
