AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Are you working with a full node list?

In general, it seems like working with surface data takes up a huge amount of memory because of the size of the files that result from working with a full node list. It also seems as if you need a full node list for some things (3dmaskave) to work, but not for others (surfsmooth and maybe 3ddeconvolve, i am not sure).

would it be possible to get a script that would take 1D files that aren't a fullnode list and create one, say given the surfaces that were used to create the current file, or even just a complete node list? this seems like it would make a lot of this surface stuff easier.

Thanks,
Stephanie
