AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Dear all,

I have a question in the group analysis.
If there are more brain activations (e.g., the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, the anterior cingulate gyrus) in ‘A’ condition – ‘B’ condition, is it possible to recognize the temporal differences of the activations (e.g., the DLPFC is activated earlier than the ACC)?
I thought that I could get those results if I compare the time course of the BOLD-fMRI signal of the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and the anterior cingulate gyrus respectively (please see the attached file).
Am I correct?
Or, it’s difficult to get those results because the time course results of the BOLD-fMRI signal are not clear to recognize the temporal differences of the activations?
If there are ways to do the analysis that I want, please let me know how to do that (including the comparison of the time course results).
Thank you ahead.
