AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi,

I have a fast event related design experiment and have been trying to figure out which basis functions to use to model the data. In addition to using GAM I've also looked at TENT functions. My understanding is that the downside with TENT is that you may end up over fitting the model. So, I've been looking into a middle ground option by using SPMG3. However I'm a little unclear in what the 3 sub-bricks from the output reflect. My understanding is that the first sub-brick is the amplitude--is this correct? If so, I would you only this sub-brick for glt's and later group analyses, right?

Thanks as always for all your help.
