AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Bob,

The anatomical scan is for a patient of ours who was scanned when they were alive and they have now passed away. So, the ACPC files I have are all we have left at this point. So, I need it fairly badly, in that sense.

Maybe if I told you the end goal you can advise me in a broader sense.

The goal here is to get the dicoms.

I do not have these, but I hear that one can use MRIcro to create dicoms from analyze files. I can convert the acpc anatomy files to analyze files, but I am worried that the dicoms that would be created would be somewhat blurry because they come from a transformed image.

I am trying to get the data back to orig space so that I can have the exact file that the dicoms would have created. I want to then convert the +orig file to analyze and then create the dicoms from that.

Any better ideas? Does it makes sense to try and get back to orig space? That is, has some smoothing already occurred that is irreversible, even if I get the brain back to orig space?

Thank you,

Christine
