AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hello AFNI experts,

I have 2 questions for you:

1) I started using AFNI in MacOSX 10.6, and noted the recommendation to use FINK at the terminal. I did not see any problems while using AFNI without it, so I was wondering if there is still a need for FINK in snow leopard or this is an outdated recommendation. If I do need FINK, what it is its function(s)?

2) I get myself updated on the diverse fmri statistical packages using their mailing lists in a RSS feeder in firefox. I was wondering if the AFNI message board has such a tool, as it makes checking new posts at the message board a "one-click" deal.

Thank you.
