AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Estephan,

1. The fink recommendation is mostly due to openmotif, which has
worked better from fink than from darwinports. However, at
the moment, openmotif is being distributed statically, meaning
users do not need to install it.

There are a couple of tools that come from the netpbm package
out of fink (for saving images in various formats), but the
fink package is otherwise not too necessary for 10.6.

Note that at some point we will probably prefer users install
openmotif from fink rather than having us link it.

2. I am not sure about setting up an RSS feed, we will have to
ponder it. Craig Stark brought it up a while ago, too.

Feel free to keep pestering us about that.
