A little forewarning:
Some, but not all, AFNI executables will misparse a NIfTI filename that contains a view suffix. This is true of 3dcopy, for instance, but not 3dcalc.
I believe now this point is intended to be communicated by the fact that the usage examples involving NIfTI datasets _don't_ include a view, but it would be helpful if it were explicitly stated that they _can't_.
