Dear AFNI users-
We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:
https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov
Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.
The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.
Sincerely,
AFNI HQ

Okay. If there is missing data, how should I remedy that in the table? Or is missing data only okay in 3dLME for missing imaging data?

I created a table text file "table_unc_cl.txt" that contains all of my usable subjects. I called upon it in my script but there must be something wrong with the table text file - I keep receiving the error: "The content under -dataTable is not rectangular ! 5574 14". I tried to use file_tool to find an error in the table but that command is not found. I created the text file u

That makes sense. I will try it out with more subjects. Thanks!

Thank you very much for that information. I think I was able to figure out what I needed to include in my final script. I have been trying to run a test version of my script (just on 3 subjects and without the glfs) for awhile and finally got it to read the input files. However, now I am receiving this error: Model Test Failed. Here is the output. Any thoughts about how to proceed? I also put the

Thanks so much! That is very helpful.
I saw in a different post that 3dLME will run the main effects and interactions, but the user has to specify all of the follow-up tests. Does that include looking at direct comparisons of the main effects? For instance, would the following follow-ups via glt be appropriate if I wanted to know look at all of the main effects and interactions with and witho

I am beginning to write the script for modeling Valence and Predictability as within-subjects factors, Age and Sex as between-subjects factors, and PCL-5 as a within-subjects quantitative variable (or would PCL-5 be a between-subjects factor if it is a measure of PTSD symptoms that is only measured once?). Below is a sketch of that script. The examples on don't quite align with what I want

I am wondering if a voxel-wise linear mixed-effects model via 3dLME is appropriate for my dissertation dataset.
I want to examine how response to uncertain threat might vary as a function of trauma symptom severity (PCL-5). I am using an uncertain picture task that examines valence (neutral, negative) and predictability (predictable, unpredictable), for a total of 4 within-subject conditions
