AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Ziad,

I do not think the 10.7 binaries are openMP enabled, as I am using them now.

The activity monitor for fnirt, for example, does not go over 100% CPU usage, which is seemingly limiting it to one core.

I know in SPM that the registration/warping step is multithreaded, so I would assume that this would definitely be the case here.

I assure you that, from what i have seen, the compiled 10.7 binaries do not use more than one core per process.

FYI: I had to manually put in the -fopenmp and -DUSE_OMP flags in the $CCEXTRA alias, because if I did not, make does not compile with openmp by default as you would expect.
