Otto,
Dimon was designed to process a sequence of similar
EPI runs in real time at the scanner. During a single
execution, it will not accept a change to the layout of
the data (because it looks like an error when compared
to the current layout).
So if you want to apply it to different types of images,
use multiple executions of Dimon.
If you have many sequences in the same direction
(which is technically called "a big mess"), then consider
Peter's suggestion of using @move.to.series.dirs to
separate them into different directories.
