AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

The func_slim+orig dataset is merely used to show some
colors when afni is launched. It is a statistical
dataset that has nothing to do with the demo, so maybe
I will remove that text (SWITCH_OVERLAY func_slim+orig),
to avoid confusion.

Update: after a little pondering, I think the real purpose of
setting func_slim as the overlay is just to be sure the Overlay
dataset has multiple sub-bricks, so that the -drive command
'SET_SUBBRICKS 0 1 1' actually works. Those sub-bricks
are still then selected when the realtime regression starts.
In any case, that is just a demo, and you do not need to do
exactly the same thing with your own data.

I will leave the help text as it is, or maybe just add a comment.

Once rtfeedme is going in step 3, the colors come from
the realtime regression against the ideal time series
chosen at the end of step 2.
