Hi again,

Re-posting my question from last week:

Could you please clarify the consequence of excluding the 1 from BLOCK or dmBLOCK [e.g., using 'BLOCK(6)' instead of 'BLOCK(6,1)', or just 'dmBLOCK' instead of 'dmBLOCK(1)']?

From what I've read, it sounds like it doesn't matter too much as long as I am only comparing stimuli within a class (i.e., both specified by 'BLOCK(6)'). But, at the same time, it might be safest to just include parameter as 1 unless I have specific reasons for doing otherwise? Would this also be true for dmBLOCK?

Rick, could you please clarify what you meant when you said the following?

"Note that using BLOCK(3,1) or BLOCK(6,1) would
make the comparison across classes biased toward
the longer events (stimulation)."

I thought this would have been the case if the 1 was excluded?

Thank you again!

Sincerely,
Kristin
