AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

The problem with thd_loaddblk.c has been fixed, I think. (I no longer have a Cygwin system on which to test it, but the patch is simple.) I forgot that there are systems that don't support SysV IPC shared memory.

You can disable hints from popping up by at least 3 methods:
* at compile time, by putting -DDONT_USE_HINTS in the list of compiler flags
* at run time, before starting AFNI, by setting the environment variable AFNI_HINTS to NO or to KILL; cf. [afni.nimh.nih.gov] , as usual.
* at run time, while using AFNI, from the Datamode->Misc menu.

As I mentioned above, I no longer have a Windows machine, so don't have Cygwin, so I don't test AFNI on this platform, or compile it for distribution.
