AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi bob,

If I have 2 BRIKs in the same directory where I lauched afni and the
default BRIK is the larger BRIK (the one that has more sub-bricks),
then the sub-brick index will run from 0 to #sub-bricks of the larger BRIK - 1
even after I switch anatomy to the smaller BRIK. Is this a bug?

I posted a follow-up for the SIRP analysis thread, do you have any other
suggestions?

A few more questions:
Will 3dDeconvol work better if I remove some of the stimulli, e.g.
cross and encod. What I am thinking is that with more stimulli, there will be
more flexibility and it will be easier for 3dDeconvol to match the response,
I mean to get higher R^2 value.

Another question that is bothering me is that how much influence the shape
of the stimulli have on the result? If I change the parameters for waver a little,
will I be able to match the response better? If yes, is there any rule about how
to adjust the parameters?

Thanks for your time,
george
