AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi George,

Let me just make a comment about your first point, where something
looks fishy about the Index values for your sub-bricks.

Dr. Cox has implemented a conceptual change in afni, removing the
distiction between anatomical and functional datasets in the dataset
choosers. So time-series datasets are now considered valid when
choosing "functional" datasets.

The "Index" chooser has a range of values that comes from the maximum
number of time points between the anatomy and functional datasets.

In your case, you probably don't have any functional type datasets in
the directory. So your default functional dataset (that you probably
are not even looking at) is your first time-series dataset - the one
with more time points. And after you switch anatomy to the smaller
one, the maximum index still comes from the larger.

At any rate, if you want the Index range limited, you will have to
"Switch Function" to a smaller dataset.
