AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Kevin,

Now, on to the "surfaces do not contain the same number of nodes"
message.

Was the exact message "** invalid surfaces, different # nodes"?
If so, what were the numbers? If not, can you display the actual
message?

In any case, if your surfaces do not have the same number of nodes,
then they should not have the same Local Domain Parent. What is
the "/subject/SUMA/SAME" file that you are using for your LDP? It
should really be one of the the 3 surfaces that are mentioned in
the error message (white, smooth, pial). Those 3 would share an
LDP and would be geometrically correct.

-------

But I see that having these three share an LDP is the natural result
after running freesurfer, afni will end up complaining, and will
probably ignore the pial surface (the last one in the spec file),
which is bad.

Ziad and I will ponder this.

Thanks for the message,

- rick
