AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

rick,

I am sorry this took you so much time.
When I say slice 0, I mean the slide in the coronal viewer is at position 0, i.e., the left most position.
This has nothing to do with the origin.

I expected slice 0 to be the most posterior slice just because AFNI assumes LPI orientation
when it loads an Analyze image, whose header file doesn't tell left-right or anterior-posterior.
This is for sure not necessary when we display images.
So my question seems meaningless from this point of view.

But at least you comfirmed that when I use 3dAFNItoANALYZE -orient LPI ..., the resulting
Analyze image voxels were stored in the order from left to right, then posterior to anterior,
then inferior to superior. This was the core of my concern.

Thanks,
george
