AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Jennine,

Do you mean that a large surface ROI turns out to be just ONE spec in the volume ? If that is the case then there is a problem.

I suspect that you have a large number of small specs (one voxel) that together form the surface ROI, but these specs may not be adjacent because of the inter-node spacing of the surface's mesh. Recall that mapping is node based. Check out the section "Mapping from volume to surface domains" on SUMA's manual page:
[afni.nimh.nih.gov]

If you want your volume ROIs to appear more clustered, consider using 3dfractionize while reducing the high resolution ROI to a lower resolution one.

cheers,
