AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Whitney,

So you set up 3dDeconvolve with 2 regressors: real pictures and nonsense pictures?

No, what you want is an F test in -glt with a matrix of 2 rows: one row with a 1 for real pictures (and 0's for the rest), and the other with a 1 for nonsense pictures (and 0's for the rest).

Or if your stimulus files are fed in 3dDeconvolve as

-stim_label 1 RealPic
-stim_label 2 NSPic

you can simply set up the desirable test as

-gltsym 'SYM: RealPic \ NSPic ' -glt_label Pic

3dDeconvolve should automatically generate such a contrast as part of the output for you without any further effort.
