AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

hello all

I am currently running AlphaSim on one of my old datasets and I see different results for exactly the same command line that I used before. I had run a 3dFWHM on time series data and then used those values in AlphaSim.

the following is my command line:
3dFWHM -dset ts.reg.despike.obs.blur.fwhm.6.012+orig.\[0] -mask auto.mask.di3.obs.012+orig.

AlphaSim -nx 64 -ny 64 -nz 29 -dx 3.75 -dy 3.75 -dz 5.00 -iter 1000 -rmm 5.2 -pthr 9e-06 -fwhmx 23.11 -fwhmy 27.63 -fwhmz 20.58 -mask auto.mask.di3.obs.012+orig. -out Significant9e-06rad5.2.with.fwhm.and.mask

I had saved the previous output text file and so I could compare. Previously, I got a cluster size of 2 voxels for an alpha of 0.05. When I ran the same command line today, I dont even get a 0.05 in the alpha. It starts with a 0.02. I also ran it again as well as changed the number of iterations to 4000 and ran it again. This time it started with a 0.0225.

Is anyone else facing the same problem????

the AFNI version I am using is AFNI version=AFNI_2005_10_31_1510 [32-bit]

thanks
