AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Dear afni users,

I have 2 questions regarding to3d -

(1) I used to3d to convert a set of *.dcm file and I can't save the
file into BRIK file. The error messages were like:

[yuhanmc@benq-8bf694922b DICOM]$ to3d -prefix anat *.dcm
++ to3d: AFNI version=AFNI_2007_05_29_1644 (Jan 9 2008) [32-bit]
++ Authored by: RW Cox
++ Counting images: total=95 2D slices
++ Each 2D slice is 256 X 256 pixels
++ Voxel dimensions: 1.0000 X 1.0000 X 5.0000 mm
++ Image data type = short
++ Reading images: ...............................
*+ WARNING: Image Positions do not lie in same direction as cross
product vector: -0.905430
*+ WARNING: *** ILLEGAL INPUTS (cannot save) ***

Axes orientations are not consistent!
++ Making widgets.....

(2) I used to3d converted another set of *.IMA files to BRIK file. The
images were being cut in half when I use afni to view the BRIK file.
However, when I use SPM to view the nifti file from the same set of
data, there was no such kind of problem. Is there a way to upload my
IMA.tar file (it's too big) so people could take a look at the
problems ?

Thank you so much !!
