It does make sense, though we would suggest used 3x3x3 or 2x2x2.

In any case, 690 seems too big. On our linux_gcc33_64 system
(using an anatomical mask of the N27+tlrc dataset) I get 394
voxels, and 690 never happens.

Something is odd there. If you have the complete output of
AlphaSim, would you mail it to me?
