I'm trying to install AFNI on an iMac running OS X 10.5.7. I installed fink and updated it, and I installed the macosx_10.5_Intel.tgz files into the abin directory and installed the AFNI_data1 files. After starting X11, when I type afni, I get the following error message:
dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/X11/lib/libfontconfig.1.dylib
Referenced from: /Users/johnwoodard/abin/afni
Reason: Incompatible library version: afni requires version 5.0.0 or later, but libfontconfig.1.dylib provides version 3.0.0

I'd be grateful for any suggestions as to how to possibly correct this error. Many thanks in advance!
