Hi Gang,
Thank you for your reply, and sorry for that I haven't come here for quite a long time.
In my experiment, there three critical condiitons, and they differ in semantic distance(this index is acquitred from rating for each item), I compare the results of GLT(contrast), AM1 and AM2
I tried AM1 and got a lot of areas, including thoes which is not revealed during contrast between condiitons. I wonder whether all these areas are really modulated by the semantic distance.
When I applied AM2, I also got a lot of areas which reflect the mean activation("unmodulated areas"), and much less for modulated areas, and I found these areas are not well overlapped across subjects.
My question is:
(1) Which is the correct way when I want to get the areas which is modulated by the semantic distance? AM1 OR AM2? What's the difference between the modulated areas we got from AM1 and AM2?
(2) Should we aplly the same thresold to the modulated areas from AM2? In my case, when I apply the same threshold as the activation map to the modulated areas from AM2, no cluster will survive.
(3) something I'd like to confirm: when doing group analysis after apllying AM1 or AM2 to individual subject, is it just the same as usual? I mean, we just need to apply 3dttest++ to test the significant of the modulated or unmodulated areas?
Thank you very much~
