First of all, you might consider reading HowTo 00:
installing AFNI:

[afni.nimh.nih.gov]

Without knowing many more details, it is hard to
guess what may be wrong, so let me ask some
questions...

Are your plugin files in the same directory as your
afni binary? i.e. start with the commands:

which afni
which Imon

Do you get "Command not found" with either of these?
Are these programs in the same directory? If so, are
the plugins there? (check the following 'ls' command)

cd 'to that afni/Imon directory'
ls plug*.so

The last question is about your AFNI_PLUGINPATH.
What is the output of 'setenv | grep AFNI_PLUGINPATH'?
Do you have AFNI_PLUGINPATH set in your home .afnirc
file? You will want this variable set to the location
of your plugins (presumably the same directory as
your afni binary).

Please answer as many of these questions as you can.
