AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Natasha:

I am not expert at the stats involved, but I see at least a deviation from
standard processing that may cause a problem.

You are calling "A" your control task/baseline. That seems to imply
that EVERY (or nearly every) timepoint in your data series is accounted
for by tasks A, B, and C (or A1-2,M1-4 in your other nomenclature), if
you include all time lags, etc.

Unfortunately, as I understand it, the processing stream you are
using assumes that there are OTHER points to be used as
a baseline for comparison. I do not believe that the betas are
meaningful without this baseline.
