AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Rick,
thanks for the advice.
I've ran your suggested script on one sample folder, which contained 6 runs of 86 images, and 1 localiser run of 5 images (I know this from using a Dicom viewer program). Your initial script suggestion provided 7 dimon files of varying sizes (from 9 to 86 files, with only one 86). Then I tried inserting the -dicom_org option and it couldn't seem to get past the localiser scan, so I manually deleted these 5 files from folder, and then ran the same script again and it appeared to work as it should. I received 6 dimon files, all 86 images in size.

So I have two questions, can you think of a reason why the localiser (a 5 image temporal localiser/scout scan) might be causing Dimon to stall (it hung for 30 seconds without doing anything before I ctrl+c out, each time I tried it before removing the relevant files). And, if Dimon can't handle it, is there an option to not process these particular files?

I'm happy to upload a sample, how much do you want? Can you point me to the directions on uploading.

Cheers
Rob
