AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Bonnie,

Instead of telling 3dDeconvolve that you had stimuli via running waver
on a file that looks like:

0
1
1
0
1

on a 1.0 second grid, you can tell 3dDeconvolve to use a Gamma variate
basis function, GAM, and that the stimulus time were:

1.0 2.0 4.0

So if this were in a file called stim_times_fix.1D, then you could apply
them via:

-stim_times 1 stim_times_fix.1D GAM -stim_label 1 fix

That would be identical to running waver on the 0/1 file, and applying
it via '-stim_file 1 task-waver.1D'.

Note that the basic option is different, -stim_times vs. -stim_file.

One of the advantages is that the stimulus timings do not have to be
locked to the TR grid.
