AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Woogul,

If I'm interpretting the images correctly, the first one
looks like an ANOVA or t-test was done on the beta weights,
including a difference (in both directions) between 2 main
regressors, and the corresponding standard deviation.

If you want to run 3dANOVA2 or 3dANOVA3, see the -help output,
including the examples at the end.
e.g. 3dANOVA3 -help

More detailed information can be found in our class handouts,
under Documentation -> class handouts

1. "Soup to Nuts", single subject through group analysis, at
[afni.nimh.nih.gov]

2. Group Analysis overview, at
[afni.nimh.nih.gov]

The 3dANOVA manual can be found under Documentation -> reference
manuals -> ANOVA, at
[afni.nimh.nih.gov]

----

You second image look like scatter plots, where there is a
single beta weight for each subject, plotted against the
motivation scores.

Each subject's beta weight is probably a mean value of the
ROI (which might be defined by the voxels surviving a threshold).
That can be computed by using 3dcalc to create a mask based on
the threshold of some group analysis t-stat (or other), and then
using 3dmaskave or 3dROIstats to get the mean of a beta weight
volume over the mask.

See "3dmaskave -help" or "3dROIstats -help" for examples of how
to run them (examples are at the top, in those cases).
