AFNI Message Board

Dear AFNI users-

We are very pleased to announce that the new AFNI Message Board framework is up! Please join us at:

https://discuss.afni.nimh.nih.gov

Existing user accounts have been migrated, so returning users can login by requesting a password reset. New users can create accounts, as well, through a standard account creation process. Please note that these setup emails might initially go to spam folders (esp. for NIH users!), so please check those locations in the beginning.

The current Message Board discussion threads have been migrated to the new framework. The current Message Board will remain visible, but read-only, for a little while.

Sincerely, AFNI HQ

Hi Rick,

Thanks again for your quick reply; you are right about having too many regressors, and we have done analyses with a fixed-shape response. Using the TENT function in conjunction with amplitude modulation was more of an experiment to see whether we could more accurately measure an anticipatory period before stimulus presentation. However, as you said, there is a significant trade-off between including more regressors and having each one explain less of the variance.

As a side note, where can I find the python libraries for xmat_tool.py? I tried installing them with fink, but received an error message saying they were not available for download (numpy, wx, and matplotlib).

Thank you!
