Hi Andrew,
Installing the libraries on a mac has been a real irritation,
which is why I have not pushed this program much. Perhaps it
would be enough to download and install the 4 libraries from
pkg files.
The packages that you would need (on top of python 2.5, say),
are: numpy, wx, matplotlib and scipy. Note that xmat_tool.py
should tell you what you are missing, or via the '-test_libs'
option.
I have not tried this, but Daniel found that python.org has
a collection of libs for the mac. Starting from wiki.python.org,
there is a MacPython page, which has Mac packages for python 2.5:
[
pythonmac.org]
[
pythonmac.org]
Except they don't have scipy there. And the 'scipy.org' website,
which directs you to sourceforge for the official download, does
not have a mac 10.4 version of the package. But there is a 10.5
version under Download here:
[
sourceforge.net]
[
sourceforge.net]
I have 10.4, and so might have to do without scipy, or get it
from somewhere else. We'll see...
