Sorry to be difficult. :)
xorg.conf was not created by default. I installed system-config-display and created a default xorg.conf file. I then added the above option to the newly created xorg.conf file. When i rebooted, my screen was distorted and suma still displays an all white brain. I then reverted to the default xorg.conf file.
I ran "yum update" and there were no packages to be updated, but I was able to figure out what driver I was using from system-config-display.
